Sunset Worship in the Grove is an invitation to our friends in Ocean Grove, and surrounding areas, to come share this place on Sunday evenings; to sit on the beach, or listen to the music in the park, and to worship together as the day draws to a close. We invite you to come as you are -no need to dress up. In fact, we'd love it if everyone came wearing bright colors and Hawaiian shirts!
We meet together to share the things that matter most. It's not the bright colors or the relaxing atmosphere that draws us. It's the heart... and words of life, love, joy, peace, freedom, healing.
The evenings are filled with all kinds of components, not necessarily in any order.
Words from the Book- reading of Scripture
A Time of Praise- visiting praise teams have been invited to lead us
Silent Prayer- seeking God in this place where so many have looked to Him
Lifelines- words of encouragement from guest speakers who have been asked to share
Kidstime- keeping a little laughter in the mix
Praise in Motion- expressing our love for God in the beauty and freedom of dance
Sing a New Song- learn a new song written for these evenings
Flicker- dim the lights and watch the screen
Classic Words- treasured thoughts from those who have come before us
Surprise and a Half- we might not do this one, then again we might
Life Reflections- words of (or about) life, set to music... a time to listen and think
Season of the Heart- These evenings don't end with a bang. They flow into a quiet, prayer time, where all may leave when they are ready, but everyone wishing to stay is invited to stay, meeting with us in the front... praying, singing, worshiping... so the day ends, honoring our God and King!
