What kind of leadership is needed to open a shalom zone?
Prophetic leadership!

"Seek the shalom of the city, where I have sent you, for in it's shalom you will
find your shalom." --Jeremiah 29:1
A one-week Drew Theological School course on prophetic leadership and
community development; plus a Songs of Shalom concert with Ken Medema to
launch the Communities of Shalom Initiative at Drew University.
Drew Week begins with Sunday Night Worship in the Great Auditorium with
Rev. Paul S. Moore, Founder of CitiHope International, and musician Ken
Medema from San Francisco. It continues through the week with daily Bible
Hour with Dr. Gary Simpson,Senior Pastor, Concord Baptist Church, and
Assistant Professor of Preaching, Drew University teaching on "Seeking the
Shalom of the city" (Jeremiah 29:1-12). Morning class sessions and afternoon
workshops are scheduled daily with featured faculty and prophetic leaders,
including: James Forbes, Maxine Beach, John Schol, Gary Simpson,
Karen Oliveto, Herbert Huffmon,Paul Moore and Michael Christensen.
Musician in Residence: Ken Medema, participation artist par excellence,
will be featured at Bible Hour, a Worship Workshop and Midweek Concert
on Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. Tickets: $15.
Biblical Resources Seminar: "Lessons About God From the Land of the
Bible", Mon. Aug. 18 to Friday, Aug. 22, 10:30am-12:30pm. Led by
Dr. James Fleming, Director of the Biblical Resources Study Center.
